"When will you have everything out?"
Well, we've had pumpkins, gourds, squash, flat stackers, "pie" pumpkins, mini pumpkins, jumbos, mums, ornamental grass, straw, corn shocks, broom corn, ornamental corn, and maybe a few more things out for weeks. Today we'll add more. Maybe, say October 28th, we'll quit adding. Then, is it fair to say "everything is out"?
Until then, colors, shapes, sizes, and selection is perpetually changing. Enjoy the hunt!

30 years in and I still see cool things every time I go too the field. "Oh wow, that's neat!" "That needs to get out of the field and hopefully finds a good home."
There isn't an island for misfit pumpkins cause quite often the misfits are the coolest. A scar from a deer hoof might make for the most interesting pumpkin for a creative carver or decorator. The warty, winged gourd with the twisted, doubled over neck is the coolest. Yea, I found 1 of those this week.

The seasons are definitely changing, and so is what we have to offer!

As this cool weather and these damp mornings become more of an everyday occurrence, our summer produce will continue to disappear....

That being said, our selection of fall products is starting to grow!

We don't exactly have the quantities on display that we would like to at this point in the year, but we're getting there!

Busy schedules, and muddy fields have no doubt set us back a little... But do not fear!

We feel that we have a great crop out there, and we will be doing all that we can to get it all in the yard for you to enjoy!

9/6/26 UPDATE:

As seasons change, what we have available also changes...

We currently have:
-Watermelon
-Tomatoes
-Peppers
-Mums
-Sweet Corn (about a week left)

We will soon have (in a little over a week):
-Pumpkins
-Squash
-Gourds
-Other miscellaneous fall produce

All other summer produce is unfortunately done for the year... Until next summer!

I wanted to eat dinner first, but that meant picking corn till dark and watering mums by flashlight.
Wait. What?
You didn't know we already have over 300 mums in stock? Maybe you should come out in the daylight and get some. They're only $14ea or 2 for $25.

Tomatoes always make us look like fools (or maybe we just are). People start asking in early July when tomatoes will be ready. We've been saying for a couple weeks "soon, very soon, few more days, etc....".
Well, you can see in this picture just how soon. Yes, there's one to the far left that's close. I am finding a few to pick. Most that I am picking are trash and are going on the ground. They are coming - just as soon as they feel like it.

Meanwhile, sweet corn, cantaloupe, cucumbers, zucchini, peppers, honey, maple syrup, and 🍉 are all in stock!

Happy Monday! Let's get spicy.
Nearly all peppers start out green. Green is their "immature" color, but obviously still very edible.
All peppers that I know of turn color as they ripen. A red pepper will turn red. An orange pepper will turn orange. A yellow pepper will turn yellow. Those are not stages they go through.
We start picking them when they get to the size we're looking for. Picking the biggest one or two from a plant allows the plant to give the smaller peppers more energy and hopefully make them bigger.
Changing color enhances the flavor. A sweet pepper - bell, marconi, lunchbox, etc..., gets sweeter when it turns color. It does not ever get spicy.
A spicy pepper - jalapeño, Anaheim, habenero, etc..., may get spicier, not sweeter.
Ripe peppers that have changed color may cost more because the longer they hang on the plant out in the wild, the higher risk of it spoiling from disease, fungus, insect damage, even sunburn.

Got melon!?!?

Sweet corn, and cucumbers are also readily available.

While less piled up, we have several other items to pick from too!
