We strive to find self-sufficient methods of feeding ourselves and living. Our current endeavors include artisan soap-making, veggie gardening, goat herding and milking, yogurt and cheese making, chicken tending, egg collecting and gopher hunting.

What’s a Woolie? A soap with a sweater, of course!

Join us at Basilwood Farm and create your very own felted goat milk soap masterpiece. Choose your favorite Basilwood soap and wrap it in hand-dyed sheep’s wool — naturally antibacterial and antimicrobial — in a beautiful blend of colors. Each one becomes a one-of-a-kind work of art made entirely by you!

The wool acts as a built-in washcloth and helps your soap last longer. It gently exfoliates while keeping your bar nice and cozy between uses. As the wool shrinks, it hugs the soap tighter — giving you rich, creamy lather every time you wash.

Class Fee: $25 (includes your first “Woolie” creation!)

1 bar of Basilwood Farm Goat Milk Soap

Hand-dyed wool in your choice of colors

All supplies and guided instruction

A personal tour of the farm and time with the goats
