5 days post fertilization chicken embryo (in an incubated egg)

At this point the developing chick has a clear and distinct eye. The head and tail grow closer together, curling the spine into a clear C-shape. The elbows and knees begin to appear, and the limb buds extend. The embryo increases noticeably in size and weight. The reproductive organs begin to form, meaning the embryo's s*x is determined by this stage.The brain continues its fast growth, and the dark eye spot becomes very prominent and pigmented. Early bone formation starts, turning soft tissue into a structured skeleton.The network of blood vessels expands significantly across the yolk to supply nutrients and oxygen.

When candling at this age you can see a clear eye and voluntary movement!

24 hours post-fertilization (in an egg that continued to develop in an incubator)

Once incubation begins chickens develop very rapidly in the egg. This photo shows embryonic development at 24 hours post-fertilization. You can see the developing neural tissue (left side of the embryo) and somites (paired, block-like segments of tissue that form along the head-to-tail axis in developing vertebrate embryos) that have already developed.

If you were to crack this egg into a pan you wouldn't see these tiny structures iwth the naked eye- it is only visible through a microscope.
