Damin Farms LLC We are a family dairy farm in western New York milking about 1,600 cows with a total of 4,000 animals.

That includes steers, milk cows, and young stock (heifers, calves, etc.). In addition, we farm about 4,000 acres of land for forage crops.

We are still pushing through! Chopped our new seeding today, we think it was the driest field we’ve chopped this year 😳. Our salesman Rick from Helena brought this Hagie sprayer to help us catch up on our spraying for the year. The corn may not be a fan of the cooler days but the weeds certainly don’t care 😑.

We haven’t been posting a lot lately. I think we can speak for a lot of farms in NY that it has been a challenging year so far. Despite all that we were honored to have the Bath-Haverling Central School Pre-K classes come out for a farm tour. It’s always a blessing to show new generations the importance of agriculture to our everyday lives.

At 6 months old, the 4th generation got her first ride in the forage harvester with her mom and her great grandpa Dave. Needless to say she loved it. There will be more pictures to come from the harvest!
