We are very excited about this venture with LaTinka Cattle Company!!

The vision for this sale started 12 years ago after I purchased two pot loads of commercial Ultra-red heifers to use as replacements. They were so good I purchased heifers from the same ranch two years later. They are now the foundation of our commercial herd.

Also at that time I had a herd of 300 F1 Braford cows. I had used several breed of bulls, but always felt like I was giving up something with each until I used Red Angus. The calves from those cows made extremely attractive and maternal females as well as steers that would grow as good as anything.

What became evident to me was that a Red Brangus type female was the perfect cow for our environment and I believe they can work anywhere.

It only took a few conversations with Zac Brasher of LaTinka Cattle Company to realize that we have very similar principles for raising seedstock. Fertility, function, and performance in that order. Make the cattle work for you, cull hard to get to the very best animals to offer, hence the name Top Cut Genetics!!

The combination of Allen Brothers Farm Red Angus and LaTinka Cattle Company Red Brangus will provide our customers the genetics they need to produce what I’ve seen work year after year in the pasture as well as the sale barn and grow yard.

The bulls are being developed here in Prattsville and are shaping up to be a phenomenal set! Please reach out if you are in the area or want to come see for yourself.

Riding through the registered heifers last night, I came across this gem!! She represents the type of female that we wholeheartedly believe in. She’s an Ultra-red 2 that thrives in our hot humid environment.

Full sister to Berwald Lucius 4132. We will be offering some of the first Lucius sired calves in the spring of 2027. You won’t want to miss them, they are coming along nicely!!
