Just had close to 70 mph winds come through. Stuff flying! My one chicken pen isn’t staked down and is flapping and twisting. I’m screaming, chickens are screaming geese start screaming, geese are getting hurled by the wind across the barn, Lee finally helps take the tarp off the top and move it under the barn. I’m still screaming grabbing my Ayam Cemani out of there pen, soaked, barn metal is flapping, Ayam Cemani are cheeping and kicking and screaming. My chickens weren’t going nowhere and I wasn’t about to let them fly away 💀🤣 in hindsight stuff could have went so left 🫢 my show birds are in the office now 🫶🏻 the two pens with blue tarps were staked. I had just moved the one with the grey tarp and hadn’t staked it. The others held up to high winds. We will definitely be building pens with 4x4’s concreted in and hardware cloth attached to coops concreted in. I don’t want to worry about my birds like this during bad weather 😅
