This is where the saying 'ducks in a row ' comes from 😂
They generally come to find me for their afternoon meal. If not, I just yell 'duck, duck, duck' and they all come running (well, waddling, actually).

Excited to have some yummy, squishy bulky yarn freshly back from the mill. Glacial Fiberworks, LLC did a fabulous job milling my beloved Coopworth wool. It's beyond my wildest dreams to have a woolen mill only 15 miles from the farm 🎉

I prefer to avoid using chemicals to manage the vegetation under my fences, so I string trim instead. I make one pass around the outside in early to mid June and then a couple/three weeks later I make another pass around the inside and some years that's enough. If we get lots of rain I might have to go around again. Vegetation can really cut down on the fences zap strength, allowing for sheep and predators to be naughty.

You'll have to zoom in to see everyone. I just did a double take when I glanced out the window and it looks like these deer are herding my ducks 😂🦆🦌
I'd prefer neither species was on the road, free range makes communicating my preference difficult.

The pastures are greening up quickly. The sheep are sheared and will begin a season of grazing very soon.
