Earlier this week we had a highland breeder and his wife take to body shaming another highland breeder. If you haven’t seen any of the absolutely hilarious posts in response to the community coming together, you are absolutely missing out. Check out their page. Enjoy the laughs. I’ve been super busy this week and haven’t been able to participate. But I am so proud of our community coming together to share our leggings and work attire. So much so, I am going to attempt to put some leggings on one of my highlands. I suspect it will be a complete and hilarious failure, but none the less, I’m going to attempt, while wearing leggings myself, and have my husband record. Since he’s here and he is supportive of this community coming together. Both men and women.
Being a bully at the age Hans and Sherill are, is really ugly. Fighting back as a community about their effort to shame someone for their clothing choices in their own home is wild and unnecessary. Judge folks cattle and their calves. Who cares. We have enough room in this industry for everyone. The genuine companionship this community has shown this week has reminded me why I got into breeding cattle to begin with. We all work together and can be successful together. No need to bash each other for having different breeding programs and choices.
Thank you Lexi for reminding us that bullies exist in our adulthood and that we do not always stand alone when standing up and against bullying.
