Our very own Farmer Man is running for County Board! He is a write-in, but we're up for the challenge.

We are District 16, so if you know anyone in the area, help us spread the word!

Hey Neighbor!

Thanks for looking me up. As a write-in, I was not able to be included in the interviews for the Pierce County Board race, so I am using this platform as a "get to know me."

I am 38 years old. I grew up here, south of Prescott, on the family farm. Graduated from Prescott School District in 2006. Took night school collage courses through Chippewa Valley Tech for agriculture. In 2013, I married my top shelf wife, Natasha, and became bonus dad to her two sons. We have added 5 more children since (4 boys and 1 fiery daughter).

We live on the family farm, known as Big Acres, right on 35. What was once a booming dairy farm in its day, is now a thriving beef farm; as of 2015, we now calve, raise and sell all-natural black angus.

I look forward to sharing more about my family, and my desire to represent this district, in the days to come.

‼️Attention‼️

As of yesterday, a recall on products made by Pierce County Meats, INC has been issued, and we want to give the accurate information out before the media craze gets out of control.

In July of 2024, Jeff Farris, owner of Pierce County Meats, changed his sausage binder from a soy-based product to a wheat-based product. Forgetting to submit this change to the state inspectors, the label did not show that the allergen "wheat" was in the products.

We cannot stress enough that, although the recall, it is NOT due to any outbreak or foodborne illnesses; this is simply a mislabel.

The ONLY way you would get sick from these products is if you have a wheat allergy. At Big Acres Meats, we do not advertise these products as gluten-free.

We will continue to stand by Jeff and Pierce County Meats, as we regard this as an honest oversight. If you have any questions or concerns whatsoever, you can contact him.

Below is a link to the recall. It is classified as voluntary; you have the option to return your product to Pierce County Meats, or throw it away. However, I will stress again that this is not an outbreak and does not speak to the quality of product you have, from them or us, but rather to an unreported ingredient change.
We have removed all the sausage products from our shelves within the dates provided to us, and will be making new products with correct labels as soon as the new ingredient labels are approved.

We sincerely hope that you will continue to trust all of us with your meat needs. We thank you all for your loyalty!

As fall approaches, a farmer's plate becomes over-filled with field work and family life.

With that in mind, we need to scale back our hours to accommodate the fullness of our schedules.

Starting the week of September 2nd, our store hours will be:
Fridays: 1pm-7pm
Saturdays: 10am-5pm

There may be days where we have to close on those as well, and we will do our best to communicate when that happens.

As always, we will accommodate for personal pick up days upon availability. So please, never hesitate to reach out. We love our customers and will continue to meat your needs as best as possible in this season.

Thank you for all your support - we wouldn't be here without you! 🍂🍁
