PERSONAL NOTE & ANNOUNCEMENT:
I am so grateful for the supportive comments and PMs yesterday, you have no idea how much it means to me!
Some of you know that I have had a rough couple of years with my complications from cancer treatments and surgeries. Long story short, I'm not as strong as I used to be-both physically and mentally. I'm pretty fragile actually, and more easily hurt by people's words. So, when someone lashes out like this person did, it's very difficult for me to just let it bounce off of me-even though I'm pretty sure this person was just trolling me. So anyway, thank you SO SO much, I REALLY appreciate the support and kindness!

ON ANOTHER NOTE-I've received a few inquiries for retirement hens or pullets. I currently have a few grow outs that I'm still evaluating. They are looking like keepers but still too early to tell, But I do have some girls who are ready to retire but I just have not had a chance to get a good list. I'm planning on doing that today. For those who have reached out I will get back to you today. However-if somehow, I missed or overlooked your message, I apologize and please feel free to nag me! (Pic for tax/NFS)

I guess I'm "sleazy" because I won't sell someone just one chick, to be raised alone as a house pet. In theory this sounds wonderful, but in reality, experienced Silkie people know that this is putting too much stress on a chick, they need to stay with friends in order to thrive. I try really hard to educate people on what the needs are for Silkie chick's health. My decisions are always based on the health and safety of my babies, not making money. Calling me names or threatening me will not get you what you want-it will only get you blocked. Still trying to decide if this person was just trolling me or if they were for real...just so shocked by the reaction this person had. Maybe I'm too naive to be on Facebook...

Facebook REALLY wants my payment information...Facebook keeps telling me how I can earn money with monetization....no thanks. It just doesn't pass my "sniff factor". It's totally fine if other people want to do that, it just doesn't feel right to me, but I'm old :) Am I crazy for thinking this way? Please tell me, I'm super curious what others think about this...My biggest issue is giving Facebook my payment info. I don't trust or want to support the big corporations.

If you live in the area (Oak Grove/Prescott), we had a cougar on our property yesterday morning at about 6:15. It ran out in front of my car! I checked our trail cams and unfortunately was only able to catch this image: (not great but I saw it with my own eyes-was about 100 pounds in size, comparing to my dogs that are 60 pounds each).

If you live anywhere near New Richmond, if you haven't already, you HAVE to check out this incredible bakery/cafe Sweet Beet Bakery The owner and incredible artist behind these amazing pastries is so wonderful and kind as well. Please support this small business, she works her but off and just look at these amazing pastries she creates!!!
