A little know fact...
The word “avocado” comes from the Nahuatl (Aztec) word “āhuacatl,” which literally means “testicle.” According to Today I Found Out, the name likely originated due to the fruit’s shape and the way it hangs in pairs on the tree, resembling male anatomy. The Aztecs also believed avocados had aphrodisiac properties, which reinforced the association.
When Spanish conquistadors arrived in Mexico, they adopted the word as “aguacate,” which later evolved into “avocado” in English. The term even influenced the name of guacamole, which comes from “ahuacamolli”, a combination of “āhuacatl” (testicle) and “molli” (sauce). So yes, linguistically speaking, guacamole could be interpreted as “testicle sauce”, though that’s more amusing than literal.
