Dairy day at Stoner Prairie Elementary! Thank you Robyn Billig for allowing us to come share our family farm story to kids. Have them understand where the food comes from, having a yogurt parfait for breakfast and seeing that Cheers provided the milk to make it!
Even drugged the hubby with me and he enjoyed it! 😁

We had a busy weekend at the Iowa County Fair. Kayson had a blast getting honorable mention with his Jersey March Calf, Virhada Bingo Peanut, we even got dad in the ring as he got pulled out for consideration for Junior Champion with the Virhada Shade Ariana, Holstein Fall Calf. We were up and at it this morning as Kayson started his first day or 2nd grade! Time flies!

Doubling our herd, means doubling our calves, much needed additional calf pens all set up and ready for my busy busy months ahead. These Calf-Tel calf system pens are amazing! So light weight, easy to assemble and effortlessly to clean.
I have different calf pens in our other barn and I ask myself “where has these been my whole life!”

Here I thought retirement would be glamorous! Finished 3rd crop about 10:00 last night. Covering bunker this morning. Thanks to the three young guys who sweated along with Kody, Karsen,Virgil and I. The view from the top of the pile is beautiful. Reminds me of why we do this.

A big Thank you National Milk Producers Federation, DFW, and our guests from Mexico. We had a great day sharing our dairy with you! The weather was perfect as was the lunch catered by Beef Butter BBQ.
