So, what's happening at the Farm you ask? Veggies are starting to produce, garlic and potatoes have been harvested and set aside to cure, summer flowers are starting to bloom, and a variety of birds are keeping us company. Mrs. Wren even found a choice place to raise her babies! Oh yes, and it's hot out there!!

Happy Easter! Spring has sprung at DO Farm. It was a long and unusually cold winter, so we're playing catch-up to get things rolling at the farm. Garlic planted in the fall is looking lovely, flower babies are being planted, rows are being cleared and prepped, cool season starts are eagerly awaiting planting and yes, we're still harvesting greens from the High Tunnel. We even have carrots to pick from the farm field that made it through the winter. Stay tuned for more adventures from our volunteer "farmers" as our busy growing season has arrived!

Merry Christmas from DO Farm! We've finished harvesting for the year, and guess what? We surpassed last year's total! We harvested 4221.5 pounds of produce for donation to St. John Vianney Food pantry and the Calvert County Public Schools Summer Meals Program. Our last few harvests included cool season greens, sweet potatoes and cabbage...all healthy foods! The High Tunnel is starting to produce greens as we look forward to a new and productive year!
