Good morning! We're on our final day of our weekend beginner seminar. I've had a great time helping get new dogs and handlers started and introduced to this challenging way of life 🙌 looking at the week ahead, I have room for private lessons this week before we head north to Canada. Rise and Shine! We are up and rolling for our first Intro to Herding event at the new Farm! I have attached the registration form here if you want to get in last minute for either day--- I have limited room left for both today and tomorrow, $200/day

We have had such a strong interest in our first Intro classes, I am offering a full weekend in June back to back days. Signup for one or both days.... We have some BIG NEWS to announce! We have decided with the move of the farm to our own slice of paradise, it was time to rebrand... Welcome to our permanent home of Stony Creek Farm & Stock dogs, nestled on 55 acres with an additional acreage on standby for the future.

Our goals and visions are able to be expanded with our new property, ability to host more outside clinicians, more consistent lesson schedules, multiple species trial fields and large expansive Open border collie trial fields are all in the works at this stunning property.

This weekend we are hosting our first Beginner Seminar, we're still in the thick of moving and setting things up so as Ella Langley states, "Please Excuse the Mess"

Right now on our Immediate schedule is XP Ranch/Kent Herbel September 10th-13th --- Taking registrations for working spots and Auditors

MSSA/NCA Stockdog Arena trial Cattle/Sheep July 18th at Rock Hill Ranch --Entries open June 15th!

Also working on logistics of setting up some clinic dates with Tim Thewissen from Wales for this Fall and next Spring.

Good Morning! We are gearing up for our FIRST EVENT AT OUR NEW FARM THIS WEEKEND! I have sent an email for everyone who registered with information and our new address. Please reach out/text/call with questions.
I have 2-3 working spots that opened up for the weekend, if you have an extra dog or a friend interested please reach out ASAP--- Lunch is provided so I will need a good headcount. Auditors always welcome as well. We will have a limited number of new farm t shirts ready and forsale this weekend.

It's Trial morning! When you arrive go in the north gate, stay to the left as you come up on the old white barn on your right turn up the hill just before the dumpster. You'll see a field on your left that is where you should park.

RUN ORDER---- posted run order for tomorrow May 9th, please let me know if you need any changes or additions. We have plenty of cattle runs available and the cattle are working off the dogs really nicely! We have a limited number of sheep runs. Call with questions or concerns, 763-482-2400. Handlers meeting starts at 8am, first run we're aiming for 8:30 starting with Cattle, Sheep course set up and runs to immediately follow. There will be a food truck here, so please plan on supporting them!

Spectators welcome! We are asking for free will donation towards facility/stock rental.

We have the BEST crew up this week, yesterday Kent and his dogs spent a few *hours* conditioning and sorting this fresh group of cattle too get ready for the week ahead... I am grateful for the high caliber mentorship from the Herbals on stockmanship and dog work... ended the evening with free tequila shots and t shirts! 🫣 I have room for auditing this week through Tuesday--- our cattle/ sheep stock dog trial is Saturday May 9th- spectators Welcome! Reminder all activities are at Rock Hill Ranch .

How is it MAY already--- and the Herbels are in town! I still have a few lessons and 2 clinic spots available. Reach out with interest!

We have arrived in Milaca, Minnesota for three days of lessons, three days of clinics and judging one day of sheep and cattle trials. Busy week ahead and we are looking forward to it! No excuses!

Lambing started promptly earlier this week on Monday, we're up to 4 so far... this 2nd year mama had a nice pair of twins this evening, her daughter and newest grand son are in the pen next door! A family affair for extreme cold weather lambing, I'm glad Jack helped me get these sets in last night... praying the rest of the girls hold off until after the weekend!
