We grow a variety of tomatoes including heirloom tomatoes such as Rose De Berne, Moskvich, Amish Paste and Gilbertie Paste. Why grow heirloom tomatoes? Barbara Kingsolver writes, “Most standard vegetable varieties sold in stores have been bred for uniform appearance, mechanized harvest, convenience of packing (e.g. square tomatoes), and a tolerance for hard travel. None of these can be mistaken, in practice, for actual flavor" (Animal, Vegetable, Miracle).

Compost might not be pretty but it's a beautiful thing.

Our composting operation uses organic food scrapes from the Princeton Whole Earth Center which we pick up everyday. We add this to our own organic food waste from the farm as well as other green waste that we produce. Over time this breaks down into nutrient rich soil that we add to our fields ensuring that the land stays healthy so that we can stay healthy too!
