The Shiitake logs and Red Winecap patch that I made in the spring from spawn are finally fruiting with the recent rain! I didn't expect the shiitake to innoculate so quickly so they are a little bigger than ideal, as i wasnt checking them. So excited to have fresh mushrooms for eating and drying for fall soups and seasoning.

Most of this season I have been trading produce for awesome mushrooms from , and will still get other varieties from him. But I'm so excited to have a few of my own!
