Enjoying the scavenger hunt? We are too! We thought we should provide an update and some clarification on a couple questions.
1. Only 9 of the chess pieces have been found. There are a TON more out there.
2. Only 2 Goldbacks have been found.
3. Pieces can be found INSIDE and OUTSIDE of stores but also local parks, art locations, government buildings, monuments, and a ton of other places.
4. The owner/employees of the store may NOT know the piece is in their store.
5. The hints are on the main pinned post to our page.
6. Hints are released at random to help players search. They are not going to tell you the exact location.
7. Yes! The pieces collected do fill up a chess board. We hid multiple versions of the same pieces just in case not all of them came back.
8. NO! There is no "hidden message" within the clues. 😀. No idea what you are talking about.
As a reminder, please be respectful of others properties. We did not hide any pieces where it would be impossible to reach or require you to trespass. Please also remember this is supposed to be a fun and FREE event. The clues are meant to be hard. We are talking about real gold here so we are not going to make it easy.
