Last CDE of the school year, and it was a good one! Central Oregon District Tractor Driving was hosted by the Madras FFA Chapter at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds today. Great weather, great help, great contest!

Congratulations to our newly elected 2026-2027 Crook County FFA Chapter Officer Team!

These individuals have been working through our election process over the course of the last couple of weeks. The final portion of the process was held Monday evening at our chapter meeting, and the applicants received notice of their final rankings Tuesday morning.

Last night was a special night at our chapter meeting.

Pictured are our 2025-2026 chapter officers with Steve Holliday, President of the Rural Oregon Community Foundation. Steve presented our chapter with a $5000.00 sponsorship on behalf of the ROCF. The mission of the foundation is to Preserve the Western Way of Life, and we share in that. We are so honored that the foundation chose our members as an investment in that mission. Thank you, Steve, for joining us, and thank you to the entire bound of the Rural Oregon Community Foundation for believing in what we do in supporting your mission!

Our small, but mighty, horticulture program was delighted to host 48 2nd graders from Steins Pillar Elementary this afternoon to tour our greenhouses and learn about plant growth. Students from CCHS created anchor charts to teach individual groups about the 6 requirements of growth, nutrient deficiencies, watering requirements, and transplanting. 2nd graders were great listeners and helpers!
