We sell beef from cattle that graze on rolling pastures of the southern Black Hills of South Dakota.

Our cattle are Red Angus Hereford blends that never step foot in a feed lot.

Mama is babysitting this beautiful afternoon.

Our herd is a mix of Red Angus and Hereford. You can see the Hereford in the two bald-faced calves (or baldies, as we call them) and the Angus in the beautiful copper-red coloring of the third calf.

Wood Ranch is the winner of not one but two Outstanding Tree Farm awards, given in recognition of excellence in stewardship of healthy trees. Leonard Wood was instrumental in establishing good practices at the ranch that minimize fire hazard, provide shelter for cattle and wildlife and increase natural water flow. Oonagh Wood carries on the tradition and was recognized most recently in 2023 for her ongoing efforts.
