Today’s mission: round up this portion of the herd so we can pull the bull from the pasture and check in on our steers. Plenty of grass, fresh water, and wide-open skies mean the steers, calves, and cows are living their best summer life.

A season on green pastures does wonders for a cow’s mood—and mine too. 🌾☀️

The Bar B 4th of July was a family affair!
We rode horses- rafted the Grand Ronde River - played Frisbee golf - painted rocks - shot s***t - zip lined through the forest - rode mechanical bulls - Played in the lake - and had a Haven tent sleep out - topped off with a night of fireworks over the lake.

It’s a full-on baby bovine bonanza out at the Bar B ranch! Calves are droppin’ faster than hotcakes at a cowboy breakfast. Big ol’ hat tip to Avey, Daniel, and the whole wranglin’ crew for pullin’ night shifts, dodgin’ hooves, and doin’ their darndest to welcome these wobbly-legged cowpokes into the world. Y’all are the real herd heroes!

Breakfast time for the maternity herd—spring is in the air, and our expectant mothers are preparing to calve. A special thanks to Daniel and his team for constructing these new feeders, ensuring optimal nutrition during this critical time. Now the question remains: which cow will be the first to calve? My bet is on #16!
