Sometimes I need a reminder of why I choose this way of life. By this evening, these curds will turn into one of nature’s most nutrient dense perfect fats: raw goat cheese. Packed with vitamins, MCTs, and probiotics, this cheese is a great example of “food is medicine.”

Officially introducing the newest member of Brown Branch Farm, “Winnie.”

Three-quarters Anatolian Shepherd and 1/4 Great Pyrenees, Winnie is 100% livestock guard dog. Born and raised with our two newest goat additions, she already feels right at home in the goat barn.

So very excited to see Samson at his new home!

We welcomed Crowncreek DLG-Faith’s Samson into the herd a few months ago. We are excited to have a Saada Faith of Grace son and can’t wait to see the kids he produces!

After all these years I’m pretty confident in predicting when a doe will kid. There’s usually significant signs that will give me a 10-12 hour kidding window.

Except for Jazz! I found this little carbon copy with his momma when I went outside to feed this morning. ❤️

On Saturday we completely restocked Petrus Feed & Seed Store with all their favorite goat milk soaps. Visiting Aunt Jessie and holding baby bunnies was an added bonus!
