Adieu to you and you and you,

That line worked for the Von Trapp children in The Sound of Music, so I thought I would borrow it to say goodbye to you, our valued customers and wine club members.

We’ve recently made the difficult decision to close our doors at the Willow Crest Wine Estates & Apex Cellars tasting room. Although we deeply cherish our tasting room roots we have decided to refocus our strategy on other business outlets.

The past 11 years have been so memorable, and we’ve deeply enjoyed getting to know each and every one of you. You have made our days at the tasting room so much brighter and we will sincerely miss all of you.

Our last day will be Monday, October 30th. After our doors close, wine will still be available for purchase through our website. Outstanding fall wine club selections can be picked up prior to closing or shipped directly to you.

I spy with my little eye, the onset of veraíson in our estate Cabernet Franc!! Such an exciting and beautiful time in the vineyard. Wait, who I am kidding; it is always beautiful and exciting in the vineyard.
This can only mean one thing; harvest is near (approximately 60 days)! Cheers everyone 🍷🍇

Caps are popping in the vineyard today! Today winemaker Jon Z. and viticulturist Brittany walked the vineyards talking shop and strategizing for this years growing season. They were kind enough to share these photos of the start of bloom (aka capfall) with us! Pretty soon you will be seeing little berries in the vineyards! Cheers 🍷🍇

The baby Chardonnay is making its presence known from their warm and cozy grow tubes! Soon enough these little guys will outgrow their mini greenhouses and graduate to the cordon wire where there new permanent arms(cordons) will be tied down to.

The buds are slowly starting to break and open up in the vineyard! Before you know it we will be seeing little leaves all over the vines. The 2017 vintage is off and running.

To say it was a freezing and foggy day out at our estate vineyard would be an understatement!
Bring on spring; we are ready for these vines to wake up from their deep sleep and start doing their magic!!
