Good Morning!! Other than a few of the cucumbers this is what I literally just cut from the vine. The tomato harvest is smaller put the pepper harvests were bigger this week.

Still bringing live herbs and herb gardens. I will be bringing the gluten free chocolate chip cookies again this week but not the regular. However, tomorrow I will be bringing a lemon treat 😋

Incredible burgers last night thanks to A Windy Point Longhorns and Field & Frequency Apothecary!! If you haven’t had the grass fed longhorn beef you are missing out. Now I get why everyone is so sad when they sell out.
And we’ve put the Reservoir sand on every meat and it’s always delicious!!

Pueblo Farmers Market

Good Morning!! Tomorrow is another market day at Mineral Palace Park 7:30-12p. The tomatoes are ripening 🙌🏻 (picture of me with tomato plants taller than me).

I have 10 pints (most are 8.5oz) of tomatoes coming tomorrow.

I had a few ask for green tomatoes so I actually will bring in various stages of ripening.

Also coming in a very small amount this week zucchini, cucumbers, banana peppers and beans.

I will have fresh Basil, Dark Opal Basil, Rosemary, Oregano & Sage.

The dried herb list: Basil, Basil Salt, Dark Opal Basil, Catnip, Lemon Balm, Lemon Mint, Sage, Parsley and Peppermint.

Live herbs too, always changing depending on how they’re growing. I’m always starting more seeds.🤷🏻‍♀️

GLUTEN FREE Chocolate Chip cookies, very good cookies. Try some and see, 1/2 dozen cookies for $5. I also have Regular Chocolate Chip Cookies.

If you spend $5 you get a free cookie!!!

You might ask why bring chocolate chip cookies if you grow vegetables, well first answer is why not 😝. Second answer is next best thing to fresh veggies is cookies!! I don’t pretend that I’m a healthy eater……..cookies are a weakness 😁

Stop by and say Hi!!!

Here’s some pictures of what goes on in the greenhouse. There’s always something I should have transplanted a week ago, but I do like to keep starting things. I just like growing; vegetables, fruit, flowers it doesn’t matter. Also included a picture of our biggest lemon tree, which is probably 6-9 months older than the babies I have been bringing/selling.
Also have a couple squatters, I have 2 toad friends 🤷🏻‍♀️

The harvests are getting bigger! I have cucumbers, banana peppers, bell peppers, beans and tomatoes (mix of Romas, Beefsteaks, Celebration Hybrid and just 4 Firebird’s Feather). The Firebird’s Feathers I will pick off the vine tomorrow morning before I leave.

I will have live herbs, fresh cut and dried. I will probably bring a few baby lemon trees and hibiscus back this week. I will have some baked goods again, just chocolate chip cookies in regular or gluten free. Next week I hope to bring some lemon treats 😋.

If you spend $5 you get a free cookie! Everyone loves something free.

Off to get my Friday prep ready that I wait too long to start🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

Farmers Market

Some side notes if you are still reading. Remember every plant/vegetable that I bring, I have started from seed and grown myself in the greenhouse located in Pueblo Colorado. I hand water each plant and am the one that does the harvesting. There’s no bringing produce from other farms for me. There is ONE lady doing 95% of the work. My oldest watches plants when I am at market or if I have to leave the plants during a hot day and my husband does maintenance. He would help more but works at the mill so he has to work every other weekend and we have 35 acres, a house and 3 outbuildings (1 being the greenhouse) to maintain; not to mention repairs on all the cars cause we can’t afford new ones. I worked as a paraprofessional in D60 for 10 years but left my job to pursue growing food that is local for my community.

He said you could put a few plants on them, I said or stuff to display Pueblo Farmers Market. Either way, a decent score for us. I have always said my favorite word is “free” 😁

"Firebird's Feather" (also known as Pero Zhar Ptitcy) is a unique, compact tomato variety. It produces striking, elongated plum-shaped fruits with a pointed blossom-end "nose," featuring bright orange, pink, and yellow streaks over a vivid red skin.

My husband likes to buy seeds and when we got the greenhouse he bought even more. Including the seed packet pictured last, producing these wonderfully colored tomatoes. As of right now I only have one plant for sure, I’m waiting on a few potential others but I fear it’s just the one.

There are 4 ripening and I will bring the ones that are ready to market Saturday. There are also a few more fruits on it, which start out in their unique shape.

I’ve been calling them my Russian tomatoes and fear they don’t like the heat like other tomatoes. They’re in the coolest part of the greenhouse and still don’t seem as happy as the other tomato plants.
