Stormi and I are at the Cajuns vs Cowboys show in Longview Tx this weekend. I didnā€™t get any pictures from her show because I was running around like a crazy person because she had Netherland Dwarfs and Mini Lops on the table at the same timeā€¦ naturally on two very opposite sides but f the venue. šŸ¤Ŗ But I found these pictures where she and her friend Ella were goofing off with my phone. šŸ˜‚

She did pretty good with her Netherland Dwarfs. This was her first time showing those. KH7, her chestnut senior buck that we got from Trey King, won BOV and BOSG. Her senior chinchilla doe that we also bought from Trey won BOV. And her senior Lilac Otter doe that we got from Maria Hilton won 1st place in her class. We took four Netherland Dwarfs, and three of them walked away with legs.

Stormi also got a couple of second place with her mini lops.

And I showed mini lops for the first time tonight. The Robinā€™s Nest Andarna (solid Junior doe) out of Barrels and Buns Kiss This and Mackā€™s Chunky Monkey got first place in her class. And The Robinā€™s Nest Xanadu (a broken junior doe) out of the same parents got 1st place in her class as well.

Overall it was a pretty good night. And we are getting back a lot of feedback from the judges that will help us moving forward.

We are both happy to be back to showing after taking the summer off.

If youā€™ve even walked into my house then you probably immediately noticed that I have a ton of house plants. But this weekend I added two little baby terrariums that also have a Regal Jumping Spider inside. Iā€™m kind of obsessed. Although I will say that I have no intention of handling them. But they are so fun to watch!

Attention FFA teachersā€¦

UPDATE: PENDING PICKUP

Yesterday I met up with an FFA teacher from NE Louisiana that we had donated several rabbits to their FFA program. This school FFA program has an AMAZING group of kids who have excelled in almost everything they did! Premier Exhibitor. Public Speaking. Their small animal SAE projects. Rabbit Showmanship! Science Fair! Etc. Their program did so well in fact that they were recently recognized and congratulated by Speaker Mike Johnson at a banquet in their area. Then two days later their school superintendent told them that they had to get rid of all the animals and they were no longer allowed to miss school for any FFA events. To say that these kids and their teacher are devastated is an understatement and a major shame! When you have an underprivileged community that is excelling the way that they were and you rip the program away from them, you are taking away opportunities that can carry into their future! I know personally that my daughter received an FFA college scholarship after high school because of her involvement and projects that she took part in through FFA. I feel so bad for these kids.

With that being saidā€¦ Iā€™d love to donate these rabbits to another FFA teacher. If you are, or know someone who is an FFA teacher looking to add rabbits to your program, we have several mini lops that we would love to see continue serving kids through FFA. We are located in Natchitoches Parish. If interested, please reach out to me.
