INGREDIENTS
For the Steak:
• 2 lbs hanger steak
• 2 tbsp oil
• 3 tbsp sugar
• 3 tbsp soy sauce
• 2 tbsp toasted sesame oil
• 1 tbsp grated ginger
• 3 cloves garlic, minced
• 1 shallot, minced
• Salt & pepper
For the Slaw:
• ⅓ cup mayonnaise
• 2 tsp apple cider vinegar
• 1 tsp sugar
• 1 Granny Smith apple, julienned
• 1 cucumber, julienned
• 1 cup chopped kimchi
• Sesame seeds & sliced scallions for garnish
INSTRUCTIONS
1️⃣ Mix oil, sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, and shallot. Season with salt and pepper. Marinate steak for 15 minutes.
2️⃣ In a bowl, combine mayo, vinegar, and sugar. Add apple, cucumber, and kimchi. Mix well and chill.
3️⃣ Grill steak over medium-high heat for 4–5 minutes per side for medium-rare.
4️⃣ Rest for 5 minutes, then slice against the grain.
