It’s honestly disheartening to see how much jealousy and negativity can exist in the small business world.

Owning a small business isn’t easy. We all know the long hours, the sacrifices, the sleepless nights, and the heart we pour into what we do. That’s why it baffles me when competition turns into tearing each other down instead of lifting each other up.

Imagine how much stronger our community could be if we celebrated each other’s wins, encouraged one another through the hard seasons, and recommended other local businesses when they had something to offer. Supporting someone else’s success doesn’t take away from your own, it helps create a sense of community people WANT to be a part of.

I will always choose collaboration over competition. Competition was never our intention. I’ll continue cheering on fellow small businesses, sharing their successes, and believing there’s room for all of us to thrive.

Kindness costs nothing, encouragement goes a long way, and a community that supports one another will always be stronger than one divided by jealousy. Let’s be the reason our community grows, not the reason they struggle or even close their doors. 💕
