My Story: Bringing you HOME
Hi everyone! My name is Christa Grover (McMillan), and I’d love to share the story behind my new journey and what “Bringing You Home” means to me.
Life is a journey, and I couldn’t be more excited about the career path I’ve chosen as a licensed real estate agent in both Tennessee and Alabama. As I’ve pursued this new chapter, I’ve realized that every experience, every challenge, and every person I’ve met along the way has prepared me for where I am today.
First and foremost, I’m a mom to an amazing 16-year-old son and 13-year-old daughter. Motherhood has been the most challenging, yet rewarding, journey of my life. I’m also blessed to be married to an incredible man whom I met at church after relocating from Colorado to Tennessee in 2021. We started as friends, and that friendship eventually grew into both a loving relationship and a successful business together in the meat processing industry.
Although the food industry was completely new to me, I wore many hats over the next four years—marketing, networking, accounting, business management, and client relations. It was an incredible learning experience.
Then life threw me an unexpected curveball… or rather, a tick did.
After developing Alpha-gal syndrome, I became extremely sick—not only from eating meat but from being surrounded by it every day. I knew I had to make a change for my health. As I began thinking about where my career should go next, I found myself reflecting on the experiences I had before moving to Tennessee.
In Colorado, I owned a high-end interior design and remodeling company and was a licensed general contractor for over 10 years. I’ve always had a passion for design and creating beautiful spaces. Before that, I spent three years staging homes for Realtors, which is where my love for real estate first began. I’ve also worked as a project manager and project coordinator in both commercial construction and the paint industry after earning my Associate of Applied Science degree in Interior Design and my AutoCAD Drafting certification.
Looking back, I realized every step of my journey has led me back to what I love most…
Homes.
I love that every home tells a story. It’s where families gather, children grow up, milestones are celebrated, and memories are made. It’s the place you can’t wait to return to after a long day. It’s where your personality shines through in every room, every finish, and every detail.
That’s why I decided I want to be part of helping others find their place to call home.
