Day 2 of the true story(not a Hallmark movie) life of a tree farmer. I will begin to pull bows and tag and organize them for our first few large orders that go out right before Thanksgiving. I feel like I've achieved a remarkable feat once I get those orders fulfilled every year. Greg (the brother) has the fun job of going out to get clippings for wreaths from overgrown trees. He comes back and assembles all the wreaths. We have about a week to build all the kissing balls and wreaths to ensure they are of the best quality for sale. I'm in awe of his dedication. I sit in my garage after a day of teaching and assemble the kissing balls. Something my husband absolutely loves to see…. Pine needles😂 This is the foundation stage of production, where hard work and perseverance shine. You might be wondering why the story telling this year? With my parents rightfully heading down to the sunny south, I'm filled with gratitude for all our years of farming together. So why not share our stories!?
