Storey's in the Dirt Nursery & Farm

Storey's in the Dirt Nursery & Farm A Nutrient-Dense and Holistic Homestead, we raise chickens, Kunekune pigs, honeybees, herbs and vegetables. Happy Homesteading

I'm a solo-mother, writer, educator, lifelong gardener turned farmer turned homesteader. I grow vegetables, culinary herbs, medicinal herbs, flowers, and wildflowers, naturally. It is my mission to share how and why you too can raise food for their family's security, from a patio planter to a suburban home or rural homestead and how to preserve these plants and animals for their families health and well being.

Nursery Storey’s

If you love to garden as much as I do, you’ll appreciate how I ended up on this garden path. This part of the story begins in the winter of 2017-18. Here in Idaho it is the middle of February and the weather has been so mild the tulips are starting to come to life. Just like the tulips, I have a serious case of spring fever.

With every garden season, I get so excited that I make many extra garden starts. I decided to do some research and find out if I could sell my extra starts to help cover the costs of my seeds. So, I am going for it and will start many more starts than I usualy this year. I hope the story with you all as the nursery grows.
