We have been pretty quiet this season. I have been wrapping up the final year of my long schooling and Brian has been handling the farm. Instead of individually introducing all the kids so far I’ll do one big introduction for everyone. All kids are spoken for at this time. We have a few more does to kid and Tempe has one buck available and one doe left to kid.
Typha had buck/doe twins. Unfortunately, both kids had a bit of frost bite due to being born when it was -6 degrees. Both are happy and healthy. The buck is pending sale and the doe will be retained.
Thistle had 2 bucks and a doe. Thistle is a beast and while we weren’t planning on breeding her this year she carried like a champ and delivered just as well. Her doe also had some frostbite. She will be retained. Bucks are spoken for.
Jayne took it a bit easy this year with a single buck. He is big and flashy and was sold even before he was born.
Spike surprised us with triplets! She didn’t look to be that big but managed well and gave us 2 does and a buck on Daytona Sunday. She was even courteous enough to be finished and cleaned up before the race started. One doe Is retianed and the other doe and buck are pending sale
