Rough day today … harvested our Chardonnay. We had less than half a ton … which is about 80-90 percent less than a good year!! All because of one cold April night … 🤬🤬

Hope we get a bit more with the other varietals … but this won’t go down as my favorite year for wine making. 😩🍷😭

We had a helper today watching over our small amount of grapes for the 2026 harvest. We are starting tomorrow early morning with Chardonnay.

Even though we are on our family vacation right now, we couldn’t help but do some “work”. We explored 2 lesser known wine regions, as we were driving by on our roadtrip.

First visit was at Baillie-Grohman Estate Winery in British Columbia. Super pretty patio and great wines.

Second visit was to Rivaura in the Lewis-Clark Valley AVA in Idaho. Stunning views and also great wines.

Super fun to find these hidden gem wine regions. We have another week in Idaho/Wyoming and will see you all back at the winery in the middle of August.

The Gruener Veltliner is coming in pretty nicely… we are grateful!! It’s been a tough season since the April freeze - but this varietal could make it through…
