We had some visitors from next door. These are young cattle who are very energetic and jumped the fence, while the calves squeezed through. Apparently they're not satisfied with the rate of grass growth and thought I might have some that is growing faster. Sorry to disappoint!!
They have all gone home.

The deer get bolder all the time! This one looked at me when I went to put the cats' food away, and went right back to grazing. In fact, she wandered closer to the barn door

Red Shouldered Hawks vs crows, a calling match. I didn't get it in the video, but the crows took turns flying past the hawks, cawing at them. I went to get my camera with the zoom lens and they had all moved off.

Took a pic of this fellow from the bathroom window of the apartment. Unfortunately, he was also munching on the black raspberry canes, which the deer target particularly. They're very laid back and unafraid at this time of year, and liable to be hit by cars.

I didn't make it to the barn early enough to lock up Honey's food, and found this visitor chowing down. Poor thing has clearly suffered tail trauma. I was able to gently remove the food and put it away while the poor oppossum panted and remained still. Turned out the lights and left the barn door open this night so I don't trap it inside.

That raccoon is a stinker. In addition to eating all Honey's food, it opened and knocked over my brand new bottle of gear oil.
