THIS FRIDAY! 🙈 Put your palate to the test! Join us anytime on Friday, June 19th, for a blind tasting competition curated by Pawel and Nate, who’ve each put together a custom blind flight designed to challenge, frustrate, intrigue, and utterly stump you. Taste through both flights (or just one, if you already know Nate’s will be superior 😊) and cast your best guesses from a selection of possibilities.

The most accurate palate of the day will walk away with a $50 WFW gift card. Second and third prize each receive a $25 gift card. $20 per flight ~ available all day Friday ✨

Reservations are recommended to guarantee your spot. Bring your sharpest senses and a little luck, we’ll see who can taste their way to the top.

Before every bottle is filled, before the labels are designed, and long before a wine reaches your glass, the story begins in the vineyard. At WFW, we’ve always believed that great wine starts with great vineyard sites. That’s why we’ve spent years carefully selecting and farming vineyards throughout Loudoun County, each with its own unique soils, elevation, exposure, and personality.

Today, our wines are sourced from our seven local vineyard sites across Purcellville, Paeonian Springs, Bluemont, and Lovettsville. Some are known for producing vibrant Albariño and Sauvignon Blanc, while others excel with Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Tannat. Together, they allow us to craft wines that reflect the character of the land they come from. Every vineyard tells a different story. Our job is simply to help it shine. 🌱

The floral centerpieces. The sparkling toasts. The laughter echoing around the room. The photos you’ll look back on for years. Some celebrations deserve a setting that feels just as special as the occasion itself. 🤍

Our Garden Room is one of our favorite spaces for bridal showers, baby showers, rehearsal dinners, birthdays, and all the moments worth gathering for. Filled with natural light and surrounded by vineyard views, it’s the kind of place that makes hosting feel effortless and memorable all at once.

Planning a celebration? We’d love to help bring your vision to life. ✨Inquire about private events through our website (link in bio).

But if you must, come work from the winery (WFTW 😉) so you can open both. It’s productive. We don’t make the rules we but sure as heck don’t play by them either. ✨

Some of our favorite people in the wine industry happen to make wine under our roof. That’s why we’re proud to be home to Short Hill Independent Producers (SHIP), a collective of talented local winemakers creating small-batch wines with their own unique styles, stories, and perspectives.

While we’ve offered their wines by the bottle in our tasting room for years, we’re excited to introduce a new way to experience them. Through our rotating monthly tasting flights and by-the-glass offerings, you’ll have the opportunity to discover these incredible producers one sip at a time.

SHIP Producers:

Boden Young ~ Boden Young is Kent’s introductory label into winemaking. The label name is representative of the youth and rapid growth of the Virginia wine industry. Boden, translating to soil in German, is depicted on each label as a soil profile. The winemaking style focuses primarily on fresh, early drinking white wines and red co-fermentations.

Quartzwood ~ Quartzwood steps outside a narrow conception of what “typical” or “serious” wine should be and instead explores delicious, innovative, and sustainable ferments meant to be shared and enjoyed. With a focus on hybrid or novel grape varieties, Quartzwood emphasizes community, resiliency, and imagination as integral parts of its mission.

Clever Beast Botanical Co. ~ From vermouth to sparkling aperitifs, Clever Beast creates botanical based indulgences to highlight lesser-known Mid-Atlantic plants through the precision of lab techniques. .beast

What Will The Women Drink was born from a comment made in our tasting room years ago. After noticing there weren’t any sweet wines available, a gentleman asked, “But what will the women drink?” Rather than creating something sweet, we leaned into the idea and crafted a wine that’s bold, structured, complex, and proudly dry.

WWTWD is a blend of 60% Petit Verdot, 20% Merlot, and 20% Tannat, offering layers of dark fruit, cocoa, and bramble notes in every glass. Because production is limited, it’s often reserved for our club members and when bottles are released to the public, they tend to disappear quickly.

More than just a wine, WWTWD represents something meaningful to us. A portion of proceeds from every bottle supports women’s rights organizations around the world, allowing each bottle to make an impact beyond the tasting room.

Over the years, this wine has become one of our most loved bottles, and we’re continually grateful for everyone who chooses to open, share, gift, and celebrate it with us. Thank you for being part of its story. ❤️ Here’s to the women!
