Our sweet little farmstand in western Loudoun County is hiring for the summer. Are you a plant person? A people person? Or a great food person? This is a fun part-time job. Message us if you are interested.
To celebrate International Women's Day this coming Tuesday, March 8th, Loudoun Farm Bureau is sponsoring a pot luck and discussion at 5:00 pm at Potomac Vegetable Farm hosted by our board members Ciara Princepe of Potomac Vegetable Farm and Pam Jones of Gathering Springs Farm. If you're interested in supporting women in Loudoun agriculture, please sign up and attend! All allies are welcome of course!
On top of discussing issues related to being a female farmer in Loudoun, we'll also provide an update and a call for some advocacy to support the zoning ordinance amendment to protect prime agricultural soils in Loudoun, fund our Purchase of Development Rights (PDR) program, and the overall zoning ordinance review process. If this stuff sounds confusing, all the more reason to attend to learn more! The event is free, but the RSVP's help us plan for numbers of attendees.

Shish*to peppers are small, bright green, somewhat wrinkled-looking peppers. Most of the peppers are very mildly spicy and even a bit sweet, but occasionally you’ll come across one that’s got some serious kick. Add flaky salt and munch!
