If you have had your dog exposed to other dogs not your own keep and eye on them!

May 25, 2017 - There is a severe outbreak of Canine Influenza making its way up the East Coast. It is highly contagious - airborne - and can make dogs very sick. Unfortunately, a dog can be contagious BEFORE it shows any symptoms. If you have pregnant bitches or puppies be extra careful.

This is what I received from MB-F, Inc. President, Bobby Christiansen & AKC:
CANINE INFLUENZA NOTICE - PER AKC MAY 25TH, 2017
We have received notice of confirmed cases of canine influenza in dogs that were at Perry, Georgia and Florida events in the past 7-14 days. If you were at those events, please monitor your dogs closely. The virus has an incubation period of 2-5 days and these dogs may be shedding the virus [THAT MEANS THEY ARE CONTAGIOUS] while showing no signs of illness.
Dogs with fevers, poor appetites, coughing, sneezing, runny eyes/noses should NOT be exposed to other dogs or people. If you believe your dog is ill or exhibiting symptoms, the best option is to seek medical attention and refrain from bringing the dog out in public until they are medically cleared by your veterinarian.
