Adroit Theory Brewing Company is located in Purcellville, Virginia. We make esoteric + style challenging b**rs with an emphasis on Hazy IPAs, Fruited Sours, Pastry Stouts, and Barrel Aging projects.

⁠​​​We often have up to 16 b**rs on draft plus 10-20 options in bottles, cans, or crowlers but things sell out quickly. Be sure to check our constantly changing Tap List at https://www.adroit-theory.com/taplist

We are currently offering Tasters (5 ounces), Small Pours (10 ounces) and Full Pours (16 ounces). We do not serve "flights" instead serving all of our b**rs à la carte. We sell and fill growlers of all sizes, and will fill any growler you supply. We allow well behaved dogs in our Tap Room or Patio. Children our welcome assuming they love metal as much as we do. • The Devil Made Me - Porter with Smoked Serrano Peppers

One of our most requested b**rs from the past. Roasted Grain with a Wisp of Smoke, Subtle, Building Heat, Dry Finish. A classic porter with the addition of Smoked Serrano Peppers. Fire and Brimstone – the fitting destination at the end of a terrible path. The faces: Gacy, Manson, Dahmer… Why do they do it? Where does the evil come from? Are they products of their environment, or is there a darker force at work?

The first b**r we ever made as a Company was B/A/Y/S which stood for Black as Your Soul. For our 10 year anniversary, we re-imagine the b**r with updated techniques in the same mold as our current stouts. This is a rebrew of that b**r. This one is intense!

Coming off of Labor Day, and we have a jam packed week with some (if not our actual) BEST B**RS OF THE YEAR. Sounds like hyperbole, but the entire staff at the brewery thinks this might be our best release of the year.

• Two Headed Calf - Bier de Miel with Basswood Honey

Polycephaly. Mother Nature's wicked sense of humor. Is it a glorious tribute to the resiliency of life, or a cruel punishment of the bizarre? A rarity celebrated by collectors, shared with a select few who appreciate their allure. What better way to display this golden treasure than in our Bier de Miel. With fresh local honey and farro, the dry finish of the Two Headed Calf will have you sneaking another peek to satisfy your curiosity. Be forewarned, stare at your own peril.

Brewed with Basswood Honey from our friend Ben at Healthberry Farm. It offers the same spicy bouquet as our classic saison, but with the sweet body and aromatics of a Biere de Miel.

As we turn our attention to next week, we are excited to announce the return + rebrew of the first b**r we ever made!

• Black as Your Soul - Imperial Stout

This holds a special place in our black heart, as it is a new iteration of the first b**r we ever brewed. Stylistically different from any of our other stout lines, B/A/Y/S offers a dryer, bitter finish that works in tandem with bold forward notes of Roasted Malts and alcoholic warmth.

• Operation Warfare: Subversion - Hazy Double IPA

If you know anything about Adroit Theory it's that we love comic books, sci-fi, 80s nostalgia, and of course all things metal. So, it's know surprise that we made a 4-part series inspired by 1980's Transformers. The first release in the series is an homage to Starscream; everyone's favorite DECEPTICON.⁠ ⁠

This one features a creamy body + mouthfeel with low bitterness. It's bursting with tropical flavors + notes of sauvignon blanc white w**e aromas. Over 7 pounds of hops per barrel.

Splish-Splash I was drinking a b**r!

• Cosmic Oblivion - Hazy Triple IPA

We brewed this b**r only once back in 2021, so we figured this was the perfect time to update the recipe into our current tasty mold of hazies. This new iteration of our hazy classic has generous haze + minimal perceived bitterness. Aromas of freshly cut mango + juicy peach waft out of the glass. The malt body is light + fluffy with a silky smooth mouth-feel.
