Students can get an extra treat with their school lunches this week! Farmer trading cards are back for the sixth year, thanks to a strong collaboration between Loudoun County Economic Development and Loudoun County School Nutrition Services.
This year’s starting nine is one of the most diverse to date, inclusive of demographics, locations around the county, and product offerings:

I baked the Kabocha squash that I purchased at the Mountain View Farm stand at the Sunday Bloomingdale Farmers Market in DC. Deliciously sweet! It tastes heavenly. And keep the golden beets coming!
