Happy Spring Everyone! We want you to know that we are taking a “gap year” from our farmer’s markets this year in order to improve our soil.

This is an essential part of sustainable, organic farming. Through rest and cover crops, we will improve the soil by reducing water loss and erosion, deterring weeds and pests, and building soil fertility and organic matter.

Healthy soil is the foundation for healthful vegetables. We will be back next year with an even greater abundance to offer you!

On May 17-18, Mountain View Farm is having a Spring Plant Sale at the Blue Ridge Center. Come get your vegetables, flowers and herb plant starts. We will have some unique and heirloom varieties for your own beautiful gardens!
