Carousel Pig Farm is located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, in NW Loudoun County, Virginia. The pigs are the latest addition to a family run farm since 1960; an ideal setting with fresh water springs, organic farming, a woodland setting, and pastures for happy roaming. Our heritage breed of "Large Black Pigs" is raised with organic grains, pasturing, and foraging of acorns and walnu

ts for a tasty lean product with good marbling. Pasture raising adds real value to the meat. When pigs can root, dig, and run, then the quality of the meat improves. A pasture-raised pig can root and dig to find its own minerals. Heritage pigs are prized for their juiciness, flavor, and tenderness. The meat is pink hued and heavily marbled.
