Anyone else have a goat that thinks she’s a dog? She watches the dogs play in the yard and runs after them like she wants to play too. Lovey has decided the last two nights to escape the pasture and scream at the back door until we let her in. She follows Audrey back and forth in the house and gets fed animal crackers until we take her back to the barn.

We took a trip to Sulphur Springs, TX this weekend for The Dairy Capital Classic. We were just taking juniors and bucks, but Audrey insisted we bring Lovey and Ava for Showmanship and Champion Challenge.

First time in several years we’ve attended a show outside of Mississippi and we had so much fun!

We had no idea where these kids would fall in the line up. Our ND Juniors were in a large yearling class and our Alpine Juniors were in a smaller but very competitive class of yearlings.

Can’t wait to get several of these kids bred this fall and see them as FFs next Spring!

She did it!!! Reintroducing CH (pending) Camelot Hills Lady Avalon (EEEE89 @ 2/FF)

This one is special…Audrey finished her all on her own. Ava won her restricted leg as a Junior Yearling. Then last fall we were excited about her two GCH wins, but realized the class wasn’t official. This weekend as a 5yo 4F she pulled off 2 GCH wins as the aged doe in a competitive line up.

Audrey is looking forward to continuing to show her as a CC this Fall❤️

We lost our Darbi today. Despite a trip to the vet and antibiotics she slipped away this evening. We’ve only dealt with mastitis a couple times in our herd and so far it’s beat us each time. I’m sorry we couldn’t save you sweet girl. Connor was looking forward to a final show season with her and she was being retired. She did bless us with 3 beautiful kids sired by Agape’s Prize Diamond Rolex that we retained. We love you Darbs, watch over us❤️

Alpine babies were turned out today in the Junior pen. Had a doe still available…lots of interest but no one came to get her. Watching them all move around this morning I think she gets to stay for a while.

Thunder made some cute kids last year. Enjoying watching them mature. They met their future Beau today when the babies were turned out into the junior pen.

It wasn’t sunny, but it was close to 75! Baby alpines got to play outside for a bit. After some evaluation we do have one Alpine buck kid and one Alpine doe kid available.

Hope to get the Nigerian doe kids out tomorrow…we do have several of those looking for new bottle holders! Lots of splash for anyone looking for color!
