What a whirlwind week.To end The Rib Mafia American Royal Experience 2026! We got 300th place out of 360 teams. 328th chicken, 64th ribs, 302nd pork and 312th brisket.

Improvement from yesterday and especially the 64th ribs. IYKYK!!

HUGE THANK YOU to my buddy Dan for running the boxes and any other errand or tadk to help. Lance Rasmussen for helping with the prep, feedback and ex*****on of the weekend!!

It was a fun ride so now to reflect on my way back West to reengage in reality!!

Not our best showing yesterday but... 123rd Chicken, 151st Ribs, 157th (DAL) Pork and 128th Brisket. 155th overall out of 158 championship teams for the invitational. Today is a new day, we are going to adjust and see how we fair against almost 400 other teams in the open.

The American Royal World Series of BBQ Invitational day 1 is done on our part! We just did the 4 main meats, awards are 7pm then we get to reset and do it all over again for tomorrow's open class!

Had a couple calls this weekend. 9th place ribs and a 7th place pork. 20th overall out of 27 teams that were top in the game so a pretty stiff field. Happy at 20th and the calls! Congrats to Colorado Bulldog for GC, Best Damn BBQ Sauce Team #1 for RGC and a fellow solo cook who turned around his game and got 3rd overall, Jason T Aqui of BBQ Aloha!!!

Finally got the award from Pendleton!
