If you are going to eat an animal it is your responsibility to make sure it lived a fulfilled life. I DO care about the environment, I DO care about the health benefits, but the passion that sparks it all is the animals. Im going to miss these mischievous buggers. But its their time to serve their purpose and fuel so many people's bodies.

Turkey cuts this weekend!!!

We have boneless breast, skin on and off, tenders, leg, boneless thighs, drumsticks, and wings. Butchered today for fresh turkey this weekend!
Pasture raised on our farm- ALWAYS. These birds have never seen other hands besides our own. No meat packers, no middle man, no bullsh*t.

We also have some whole turkeys up for grabs 💚

July on the farm

1st pic: While the rain has been hard on other farmers, it been a blessing for us. Last year was so dry we were constantly pulling the cows off pasture. This year we are going strong.

2nd pic: Raising lots of birds. Still striving for more. Butchering 100+ every week. I love chickens.

3rd pic: The bull we rent is here but leaving shortly. Im kind of glad he will be gone, running 3 different herds and 2 different buls is a headache.

4th pic: Alan Rooster enjoying farm life. I grew up on a farm but not from the time I was an infant. Im jealous. I feel like I had a head start in life with the knowledge I gained on the farm. He will have even more of a head start than me.

5th pic: Butchering on farm. To those who said we wouldn't be able to butcher with Alan, you were SO wrong. Maybe Im privileged with a "good" baby, maybe its because I have literally no other option, or maybe its because its all he knows. He's a champ.

Spring is here which means the farm is buzzing with new animals. Baby chicks and ducks have arrived, soon enough everyone will be on pasture. The calfs are making their entrance. The grass is turning green. Fresh chicken will be here before we know it. Butcher days are among us and everyday I have decided Im wiling to part from the farm is taken. Im finding peace in the last few days I have left before my life is utterly consumed by farming. *Attempting* to find my feet while being a farmer and a mother. Reminding myself this is the life I've always wished for. Happy spring 🌷
