In addition to starting and training our new stallion prospect "Coronels Boon Bandit," Justin Stanton, of Stanton Performance Horses, in Idalou, Texas, recently stopped by the ranch to look over some c**ts by "Heathcliff Catt," our current ranch stallion. It is always a pleasure to welcome horse enthusiasts to the ranch, especially when they are Red Raiders from Texas Tech. It goes without saying that we are looking forward to the impact Justin has on "Boon Bandit's" future development, so stay tuned, there is more to come.

Congratulations to all the hardworking young men and women that competed at the recent Quanah Livestock Show. It would take too long to mention everyone by name, that worked hard and showed their animals at the Quanah Show but special mention is made to Sterling Gilliam, Whitten Gilliam, Everett Sherman and Clark Sherman for thoughtful thank you notes and to Wyatt Conley for being named Grand Champion of both the Stocker Division and the Feeder Division at this year's show. Cattle production is a very important business in Texas and in Hardeman County, and based on the results of these students, it is obvious that the future of the beef industry is in good hands.

Born on the King Ranch in Kingsville, Texas and offered at the Return to the Remuda Sale 2024, in Guthrie Texas, we are pleased to announce that "Coronels Boon Bandit" is coming to Drake Ranch, in Quanah, Texas.

The c**t by Coronel Del Rancho, comes from a long line of ranch horses selectively bred to work cattle and to be ridden by the King Ranch Kinenos, in their every-day ranch work. The bloodline is filled with outstanding and notable horses, developed by the King Ranch that, in addition to desirable balance and confirmation, exhibit the mindset, temperament and disposition that is necessary to successfully perform in the cutting pen, roping arena or in everyday ranch work. The "Bandit" is currently with a trainer in Lubbock, Texas, who will start his training and development. Stay tuned as we follow his progress- there is more to come.
