I swear every time I get to swing a leg over this handsome boy I’m more and more impressed with him! Shoes pulled middle of breeding season literally bred a mare yesterday hasn’t been rode in at least three months if not closer to four and rode around in a warm up own zero issues and even packed around James some. Still have some time left in the breeding season for some outside mares! He has one baby on the ground this year (not owned by me) and several from last year!

Let’s play a fun game!! Baby daddy or the sire is the bay roan in the first two pictures he is homozygous for black so no red babies from him! The the mares in order are theda, tippy, and Sandy. What color babies do you think they are going to give us? Put your guesses in the comments and in a year we’ll see who was right!

My guesses are:
Theda- Bay
Tippy- Dunn
Sandy- buckskin roan
(Not pictured is Cynthia,thedas sister a red mare with pearl gene) my guess for her is a bay roan with that pearl gene
And I’ll also be breeding my red roan mare Lisa (unless a friend uses her for her stud) she’s a red roan so I’m guessing a bay roan.
If anyone knows more about horse, color and genetics Please feel free to chime in with possibilities for each, since I personally don’t really know all that much!
