So…this happened 🥹

I’ve been selected to be a part of the Fall 2026 cohort of Trusted Creator Fellows with News Creator Corps, a group of independent creators who work within their community to provide important info — in my case, the work I’ve been doing in food justice, equity, community, and education.

From new restaurant openings, public health information, and local stories, I am SO excited and proud to be a part of this cohort.

You’re going to be seeing a lot more content from me over the next eight weeks, especially with all the food related stuff happening that makes elections so important (y’all know we got a midterm election coming, right?).

A quick story time…with some good news at the end.

I’ve been writing this book for ten years. For years, people who’ve read the various rough drafts have been telling me to share it with the world.

I finally did…and now it’s a top ten manuscript in a “Book of the Year” contest with Third Coast Literary Press.

I’m still shellshocked.
