Custom Cake Ordering Information:
Planning ahead is the key to a successful event! We choose to give our full attention to
a limited number of cakes on any given date, so one of the most important things is to check our availability for your cake. Most of our customers reserve their cakes a month in advance (or even a year for special weddings). Unfortunately, this means we must often decline cake orders for dates that have been booked up, especially on weekends during busy seasons or holidays. Planning ahead for your event and putting down your nonrefundable deposit will reserve your date and ensure you get that special cake! We do recommend placing orders at least one month in advance. Creating a one-of-a-kind cake can be complex, so while we do answer email questions, we prefer cake orders to be placed in person or over the phone so that we can make sure we get all the information we need from you about your cake – a detailed follow up e-mail will be sent to you after the phone call to ensure we did not leave anything out. Then, you give us the green light. We have a trained staff that will be happy to help you with design and flavor ideas, and answer any other questions you may have. When placing an order, please have an idea of how big a cake you need, or how many people you would like to feed, as well as the sort of style or design you have in mind. Our initial price estimate for most cakes is based on the number of slices or the size of the tiers, so this information is essential in providing an accurate quote. When calling us be prepared with ideas. Designing a unique cake creation can be a challenge even for the most artistic person. We are happy to guide you through the process and present you with ideas based on your initial inspiration, event, or person. Share with us a theme, colors, or any specific design ideas you would like to see in your cake. It is often helpful to bring in or email us pictures that have inspired your cake, or invitations or fabric samples that show specific colors or designs. Please remember that Lidia is the artist, and the final product will likely reflect her talent and style, and will be her interpretation of the theme. Many of our actual design decisions must happen as the cake itself is being made or put together. We will do everything we can to capture your ideas and put them into a cake! Nonrefundable Deposits: We require a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the estimated cake order. All wedding orders require a 50% non-refundable deposit to reserve the date. Orders are taken on a first come, first serve basis, so if an order is cancelled at the last minute, we lose business that we could have had from other orders we turned down. For this reason deposit money will not be returned if an order is cancelled. We ask that any interested clients confirm their order within one week or the order may be cancelled. Cakes must be paid in full one week before the date of delivery, unless otherwise arranged.

Q: How much is that cake on your website? A: All of our cakes are custom creations, made for a specific person or event. Therefore, the price would not be relevant to your party or event. We cannot tell you how much a previous client paid for their cake, because cake prices depend on many different factors. However, if you are interested in a similar cake and are willing to provide us with some specific details about your desired cake, we would be happy to provide you with a base price estimate. Please call us for more information. Q: What are your cake prices? A: Since all of our cakes are unique, and customized to you, we do not have set prices. Cakes are priced according to several different criteria. Our base prices per slice can give you a general idea of the estimated starting price of your cake. The base price includes the layered cake with flavored buttercream filling, fondant icing, and very simple decoration. Other factors that add to the price include cake sculpting, gum paste decorations, detailed piping, painting, airbrushing, or other time consuming design elements, and delivery. Price estimates will be provided when orders are placed, but final prices are usually not set until closer to the delivery date and are subject to change if necessary to compensate for unexpected time or level of difficulty. All cakes must be paid off in full with Cash, Debit, Credit Card, PayPal or Chase Quick Pay at least one week before delivery date, or the order may be cancelled.
