My family trip to New Orleans last month really inspired me to bring my southern-ness back into the bakery! We have a big exciting menu for our markets this weekend. Test kitchen Thursday’s agenda: flaky layers and golden tops. I love my job!!! So after talking with my scone advisor (my customer Karen) we were chatting about how most of my scones have glaze and making them a bit sweeter. Although I pride myself on not being “too sweet “ it reminded me that savory options do exist. So I have been in the kitchen playing around with scones even tried out new techniques to get them flakier! This is a roasted garlic and herb scone. Filled with thyme, scallion, nutritional yeast👌🏾 What scone flavors would you like to see?
