Blue, black, and Splash Ameraucanas

Started sorting grow outs yesterday. There are some definite culls in the 2nd pen and a few that look like they have good potential.

The pullets are up next. And there are a few stand outs that I’m spotting already.

My first culls were for leakage only, pleasantly I only had 5 with leakage so far. I was anticipating a few more.
And two pullets with no tail feathers.

Today I saw some pretty feet and some ugly feet. Sorting silkies today and part of checking them over is looking at their feet. Hoping they fill in nicely for me. Next year need more grow outs.

Doing chicken chores today, refilling feed barrels and slightly distracted by a few chickens 🙂.

Getting ready to sort and looked back at my hatching notes. Definetly better at the beginning of the season. 😂
