It is September and that means it's time for new Round-up-at-the-Register opportunities at both of our stores.

In our Portola store, we are rounding up for CRC Elementary School where donations make a big difference for students! Funds raised help support new books for the school library, garden tools and supplies, student art contests, Teacher Appreciation Week, enrichment activities, family movie nights, and many other fun and exciting events throughout the school year!

In our Quincy store, we are rounding up for Lost Sierra Food Project which is a community-based agriculture education and food access organization operating a 2.5 acre regenerative farm in Quincy. Rugged Roots Farm is women-led and focuses on diversified veggie and fruit production. The farm allows LSFP to nourish the local community while educating the next generation of farmers and local food lovers. LSFP is fundraising for core programs including Farm to School, paid high school internships, and free family activities and workshops on the farm. LSFP is a six year-old nonprofit and has a small local staff and a volunteer board. In addition to ag education programs, you can shop their farm stand on Tuesdays from 5-7pm at 501 Crescent Street across from the Yuba Expeditions bike shop.
