Trinity Gardens is a small, family owned and operated farm located a “country mile” SW of George, Washington. Owned by David and Julie Putnam, Trinity Gardens was established in 2014. Many hours of research and studying culminated in the plan. Many hours of turning scrub land into plantable, irrigated land led to the first planting in June of 2015. Dave & Julie - an orchardist and a RN - have alwa
ys been intrigued by lavender. Learning of the various healthful benefits of lavender brought inspiration to begin this exciting adventure. With the motivation of family & friends, and a long history of family farming, Trinity Gardens began to thrive. Every morning we wake up and choose to farm. We choose to work together. We choose to tend to our land. Our family has generations of loving this earth and the many things it brings us. We are The Putnam Family; farming in the central basin of Washington state. We grow apples, cherries, heirloom produce, & LAVENDER. As a family, we have been working to establish ourselves in the George and Quincy area within the agriculture industry for over 25 years. At our beautiful venue, Trinity Gardens, just SW of George, we grow many varieties of lavender. Every year we hand harvest our flowers and distill to create 100% Pure Lavender Essential Oil. We then take that oil and its byproduct (nothing goes to waste) and create our one of kind, completely natural lavender products. We produce only in small batches to ensure quality and care while honoring the incredible therapeutic qualities that lavender provides. When we first dipped our toes in the water, the focus was on the outreach within our direct community. We have been selling our fresh picked and dried lavender, our handmade products, and produce at farmer’s markets around our area and at events such as FCAD in Quincy. We envision this idea growing rapidly over the next couple of years with goals that the lavender farm will be a venue to hold events, and a U-Pick farm complete with a retail area offered on site as well as a selection of produce grown on site. The idea is the easy part. As a family unit, we each bring to the table experiences and knowledge that inspire creativity which enables us to make all of our ideas a reality.
