“Saturday is the Auction for the Food Bank. Doors open at 5:00. I hope to see everyone there. This is your chance to support a community member that serves our community every day. Thank you to Columbia Basin Foundation for highlighting the food bank this week! We’re still looking for donors!

Friday at the Foundation: For the past 40 years the Quincy Community Food Bank (QCFB) has been serving the Quincy Valley. What started in the basement of Carmen Taylor's home, has now become an amazing organization that is providing food security to thousands of people each year. The QCFB became a 501(c)(3) on February 22, 1988. With the increased needs, their organization is planning for the future.

First Phase:
New 3200 sq. ft. building with freezer & cooler big enough for forklift/pallet jack to move food in and out.

Second Phase:
Remodel of the existing food bank to allow more space for clients to get inside away from the weather while they wait.

The Quincy Community Food Bank is here to serve their community with nutritious food and resources for families in need. They are open Tuesdays 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM & 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM and on Fridays 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM. Their mission is to ensure no one in their community goes hungry, and it is thanks to the volunteers, donors, and partners who make this possible. If you would like to support their work, donations of food, funds, and time are always welcome. Together, we can help fight hunger and bring hope to the Quincy community.

For over 40 years, the Quincy Community Food Bank has helped families in our valley put food on the table. But our little building has reached its limit.
We’re growing — because the need is growing.
That’s why we’re building a new 3,200 sq. ft. facility to expand our storage, add walk-in coolers and freezers, and better serve the nearly 750 households we help every month.
